The Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanical Garden will be having an Easter event with a Beatrix Potter theme on Saturday, April 3, 2010 between 10-2. Enjoy games, art, face paintings, entertainment, photo oppurtunity and live animals at Mr. McGregor’s Garden, story time with Mrs. Tiggy-winkle and Easter hunts every half hour with a small basket fee (no outside baskets allowed). Plan ahead! Log onto their website to become a member for discounts on admission.

Yes……there is snow in Southern California! It’s here for one day on February 19th at 5pm. Bundle up and bring your kids! There will be two 60 ft runs and a 30 x 30 snow play area for wee ones! Earthquake strikes Haiti….it’s all over the news, everyone has seen the pictures and wanted to help. Now is your chance! Three Angels is an organization in Haiti with a school, orphanage, and clinic. All the children of the orphanage survived and have been adopted by families! However there are several needs at the school and clinic. Instrument WHAT? That’s right, it’s an instrument petting zoo coming to the Americana this Saturday, January 10th 2-3:30. Your child can go try out several instruments in one place and see what they like best! They have everything including flutes, trumpets, violins, and percussion instruments!
